We spent a couple nights there on a driving trip thru South Africa. It was on the way north. Therefore we drove thru. Others have mentioned that the game is not remarkable. The best thing about Swaziland for me were the craft shops. But otherwise, I find no compelling reason to visit.
In my experience if one takes the time to learn about the things that are in Swaziland and not just dismiss its lack of "traditional" game animals, it's a fascinating country. Plenty of interesting flora and fauna besides the stereotypical ones that 99% of people think about (and much of it very accessible)...gorgeous scenery...tidbits into ancient human history such as Ngwenya Mine and Nsangwini cave paintings...one-on-one cultural opportunities...a national history that is unique in its own right despite being nearly surrounded by South Africa...congenial, welcoming people...good bargains....and definitely need to visit and see the Umhlanga Festival if timing permits.
With an open mind and willingness to expand horizons beyond the typical tourist focus areas, there are interesting and fun things in pretty much any country, IME.
