The interchange at Green Park involves a bit of stairs and walking but there are lifts and it is probably the least complicated way.
You can get round this by ignoring the interchange signs, and taking the escalator towards the exit. When you reach the top, by the barriers, take the correct escalator back down again. No steps involved.
