the ambience now is appauling. its a zoo now. i have expeienced bkk lounge at its debut within first few days of opening. there were barely any guests with roomy and elegant richness of space to it.

day of visit was 26 sep monday arouns 1030am. fast forward to today a year on i revisited and oh my god this felt like HK MTR during rush hour. i can find seat easier on train than this zoo now. it feels like entire one world pax are crowding here as no other alternative and qf has closed their lounge.


cx has got it wrong with all their infligt cost cutting and club revamp and successfully destroying value as an enterprise. however i must appraise their success in turning their lounges into cashcow as opposed to premium experience for their passenger that paid big bucks on a ticket (i was on revenue D fare).. so what cx earns about US$30-50 per pax per visit from their respecive airlines? that must be whats keeping them afloat and thats probably why they are investing so heavily on lounges globally... note they also invest at outport where high oneworld prescense with little competition, like HND being JL hub?

i left the lounge after getting drink and noodle. felt better at terminal open space than fighting so hard for seat.
