Actually YYZ-HND-YYZ AC5/6 had been scheduled to commence operating with the 788 from 1st July 2014 but due to the delivery delays the 77W operated the route for about two weeks. I believe the first 788 flight to HND was around 16th July. We flew YYZ-HND on Wednesday 8th October 2014 on Fin 801 with ACYYZ/SD; a wonderful flight in seats 2A & 3A with a great crew. Unfortunately the last 788 AC5/6 to HND in 2014 was around 26th October after which the route was a 77L. Not so pleasant a return experience on 5th November.

Really sorry to hear about your inaugural flight disappointment. I know that Fin 801 was being used for crew training doing touch and go's at YOW until shortly before going into revenue service.

I was on the inaugural flight on July 1, 2014.
