But whether "over" analysing or not, I am not talking about them and talking about me, and I can assure you that the differences in my behaviour towards them is noticeable to me at least (maybe not to them, frankly, I do not care much). As mentioned, there is also a significant body of literature in psychology (and beyond in marketing etc) which analyses those phenomena so whether you think it is over analysed or not, it does seem that many - and indeed according to the said literature most - people are similarly affected.
