Have to disagree on that. When kids are very small, you need more than clothes for them. Changing pad, diapering supplies, bibs, familiar blanket or two, maybe a crib sheet from home if the kid has laundry soap allergies (been there...), some toys, maybe feeding implements. However even with all that I could manage a 17 day trip with just 24 in. suitcase and diaper bag for the kid, and his bag included some food as well (allergies).
