I will probably re-qualify for DM based on stays. I've been mapping out a few mattress runs as well as booking many stays in Asia towards the end of the year. I normally would have re-qualified based on nights by now, but I dispersed the chips out a little more this year.

I booked a number of nights with Accor and made Gold. Might even make a run for Platinum. I picked them as they have a much bigger footprint in Asia and Europe, compared to Hyatt. However the quality of the properties that Hyatt has is far superior than Accor.

With the Marriott/Starwood merger now completed, I might give them a try. It's simply too hard to ignore their footprint.
