I believe Lei livery was introduced as a way of making distinction of hawaii capable 738's equipped with liferafts, and ETOP certified. Now that newly added 739's which has extended range and more seats dont have the lei designation and are making more flights to hawaii, i think the need for hawaii livery is no longer needed. It is, afterall, Alaska Airlines.
