Finally got my ec261/2004 compensation (£515) for being delayed 24 hours in late May. I was travelling from Manchester to Hanoi with a 55 minute stopover in the Doha but the MAN-DOH flight took off over 2½ hours late so missed the DOH-HAN connection.
Mind you I had to flight for it to the point that had got a court date and paid £55 for the hearing fee (as well as the the original fee on MCOL to start the legal ball rolling).
Some of the excuses Qatar came up with not to pay were quite bizarre. These included that Doha was my final destination not Hanoi and because they're a non-EU airline, ec261/2004 doesn't apply to them.
