I arrived at 8AM on Thursday and after immigration, baggage claim and reporting my delayed bag, I was only able to get out around 9:30AM

As a result, I missed my appointment. The next available date is day after tomorrow (9/24), and I had to reschedule to that date. My return flight is on Sept 30 and it's cutting it really really close for my trip back to the US in case the visa gets delayed for various reasons.

I have to be back to work on October 1 for various confidential reasons, and the visa delay would really, really suck.
Well, I'll leave it up to others on here to chime in, but based on what I have read I don't think you're "entitled" to anything.
