the restaurant situation @ hotel does not sound good. One charm of mexico is to be able to have great food at affordable prices. Which restaurants did you go in town?
Can you tell us about where you rented the car and if they did any shenanigans? Currently I have booked a rental car for 9 days with sixt for $250 including supplemental liability
