I was granted Diamond status with Hyatt and requalified. I won't have any need to stay at Hyatt's next year as I now have so many more options with the combined Marriott and SPG footprint. I will use a few cash and points reservations to book my 4 confirmed upgrades after 1 Feb 2017 and that will be that unless there are drastically negative changes introduced in 2018 to the new Marriott/SPG program.
