See SPG's multi-room credit rules:

Three rooms on one folio = redeemable points earned for all three

Three rooms on one folio = three night credits

Three rooms = one stay credit

Section 2.1B, specifically.
In actual practice, no hotel has ever been able to put multiple rooms on one folio for me.

I'm pretty sure that your final point is incorrect.

Three rooms should equal three stay credits as well as three nights (in the example of a one-night stay).
