So I been a loyal Hyatt diamond for about 5 years now. I always had a Hyatt first mentality when booking hotels especially on family trips with my benefits. Last year I became a Marriott platinum through my ritz card spend. I still leaned towards Hyatt for most hotel stays. I found out today my Marriott status is now Spg platinum and I have been intrigued by my new options. I could see myself not going for Hyatt diamond next year. We have a lot more options for our family travel with Spg and also now with spg points transfer 1:3 to Marriott for some of the higher level Marriott rewards redemptions that I thought was overpriced before.
