Well it all depends on the lounge, obviously most lounges have opening hours so you'd need to stay withing them. Some Priority Pass lounges have a time limit e.g. 3h limit.

You could spend that amount of time in the Turkish Airlines lounge in Istanbul which is open 24/7 and it's sometimes common for TK passengers to have longer than 24h layover which you could theoretically spend in the lounge but TK will give you a complimentary hotel room if your layover is over 10h.

I don't recommend playing the game of excessively booking refundable tickets just for lounge access, once is ok just incase of an emergency.
