I am Flying Blue Gold and I was offered a status match with these conditions:
1) Privilege Club membership number.
2) Copy of a valid other airline FFP card with name and FFP number).
3) Other airlines FFP account statement stating name, tier and FFP number.
4) Confirmed and ticketed travel on QR, minimum two weeks prior to departure.
Now, I subsequently met these conditions (having bought a ticket for myself in O class and one for my wife and kid in Q class) and then they said that I had booked in an illegible class (being O, T, W). I am arguing the point that they should have told me that before and if they had then I would have simply swapped the names so that I was in the Q class booking.
However, this seems lost on them. They just say "buy a new ticket" (after 12 days waiting). Not happy about that as it's presumptious...But I have booked another B class ticket so they should be happy with that. Still annoying.
What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks guys and gals!
