Wow - things are getting bad when they start chopping London flights (yes, I know it hasn't started yet).
The EK23/24 numbers were originally planned for the 4th MAN daily, but got switched to LGW. With the news that MAN is getting the 3rd A380 in January, and a few extra A380 flights in October, I wonder if they will re-consider a 4th MAN instead?
Y loads have been thoroughly awful for LGW recently, combine that with the 777 pilot issue and I think it's understandable they might hold off (i.e. it hasn't cost them anything at the moment) - London capacity isn't too much of an issue, imho.
Bigger priorities for the 777 fleet!
