Will I still have to ask the hotel to check me out and in again (in line with my actual reservations) to ensure I earn the bonus points incrementally during my stay? I would prefer this as opposed to getting a bunch of points at the end of my stay.
If you have separate reservations, by default you will need to check out at the end of each one unless you tell the hotel ahead of time (or they're
really proactive and they notice the consecutive reservations themselves).
Regardless, same-day checkout and check-in at the same property are treated by GP as a single stay, so they may end up posting as a single stay anyway- YMMV.
