Mid-sized Laptop Backpack
I am looking for a replacement for my current laptop bag, for use on monthly domestic/international trips as well as daily use for school. It will primarily carry around a ThinkPad X230 with slice battery (heavy!) as well as a 1.5" binder and some other papers/pens/accessories.
Preferably, the bag needs to be able to carry said items comfortably, while being reconfigurable for 2-3 days trips. I also hope for relatively good build quality, as I can foresee it lasting for another 3-4 years. I understand appearance is highly subjective, so for the sake of discussion post all suggestions, and I can select based on appearance by myself.
I've narrowed it down to 2 options, below:
The North Face Borealis
Timbuk2 Command Backpack
I've heard good things about TNF, however the Timbuk2 does have the advantage of TSA approved laptop sections.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the above, or had any other recommendations. Looking to spend anywhere up to $200.
Thanks!
