YYZ>NRT>MNL on AC is pretty good, better timing and better equipment end-to-end. Both segments are on 787's. ANA's J is good. AC's J is not bad.

By comparison, your connecting thru TPE at 6 am and flying TPE > MNL on a 321 in J. Less than ideal.

I don't think the gap is really that big.
