So, to make this debate more fun .....

I love the BR table due to its elegant design and functionality

Assuming one of the many BR FA's aren't hovering nearby .....
if I want to get up, I put the tray on the side table console - or I just hold it, close the flex-table, get up and open it and put the tray back

MORE important to me is the ability to sleep. For whatever reason, the design of the BR/CX/AA pods allow the bed to open, offers a lot of leg room, provides great comfort for side-sleeping and unlike AC's, where turning on to the side leads to bruises from the table (do not challenge me on this, it's my personal experience), this is not an issue on the other design.

And this seems to be a bit more of a problem in the pods on the refurb 777s than on the pods on the 788/9s. The space allotment is smaller (shorter) and it is noticeable to some of us.

Nonetheless, I'm quite sure that the choice of airlines to fly is based on more than one variable, or two, and multiply that by a factor of personal prefs and comfort
