I had a non-flexi room booked for two nights and could only use one and the Ibis (dealt direct on this) changed it using my unused night as credit to a stay in the near future. Very happy with the flexibility. Ended up paying nothing extra as the rate stayed the same (they used the non-flexi rate for my second night's stay, too).
