I think you're still short, so if you redeem now for economy and try to upgrade later, you're still at the mercy of there being first inventory available. It's a gamble of securing tickets now, then at least you have something, or waiting until you have enough miles to redeem outright. If you can transfer to your UA account, you can purchase what you are missing (though I'm not sure you can buy that much!)
