Yes, this. What happens if you misconnect? Or you get on and the flight attendants announce the system will be INOP the entire time?

It is my experience that when traveling with young children the whole process must be streamlined and any unecessary add ons taken out. Driving on one of the most traffic jam prone roads in this area for an hour after having already been through the rigmarole of clearing customs and gathering belongings through one airport then going through the same, heaven forbid the TSA lane is backed up in T3 because it usually is, at another airport does not sound fun or easy for the kiddos or mom and dad at all.
