UA 296, an A319, had a brake malfunction on taxiout. Pilot hit the reversers to help stop the plane but the brake caught and lead the nose gear into grass. After everyone was deplaned and brought back, a replacement aircraft was subbed in, while the ditched one was transported to the maintenance hangar. Rebooking for passengers was made available for those who didn't want to continue tonight. I had to cover some extra gates while manpower (agent assignment) pulled extra resources to the gate and csc. It was interesting hearing the calls over the radio and watching a sea of red and blue lights line up.
