The two wires connected in IFE systems are the +5v (VCC) and the Ground (GND) The USB Data+ and Data- are not connected to anything and that also goes for the bottom of the seat power blocks.

What does this mean? There is no data connection to even worry about and there is no way for data to go over power to a path that isn't data.
