What's w/ the "i" in browser bar?

All of a sudden this morning there's an "i" in a circle to the left of any website (such as FT) that I type in/go to. I've never seen it before. When I hover over it, it says view site information.

I'm sure I accidentally typed something that is making that part of every site I browse, but is there a way to turn it off? Is there a reason I want it in the browser for each site?

Cheers.
