It seems BR usually releases J award inventory 2 weeks in advance but it seems they are more relaxed now and since ORD nonstop is a new route, they are more generous. So, grab it while you can.

The only reason I would wait is in the unlikely event that TPE-HAN is upgauged to a widebody and J seats open up. It is usually an A321 and I doubt that will change - most people go to SGN. So, it is not a good reason to wait.

Should TPE-HAN become a 77W (very unlikely), ask the ORD check in agent to put you in Elite. They don't sell Elite intra-Asia and it is easy to get moved up.
