It's not a long walk. Nothing in T1 is a long walk. I came in at Gate 12A a week ago this past Wednesday around 4:45 pm. It's less than a 5 minute walk. They are using the newly remodeled former US Airways 2 baggage carousels. It was creating quite a mess with 5 flights in at the same time and a Las Vegas flight was moved from one carousel to another while everyone from that Las Vegas flight was waiting at my New Orleans flight carousel. Took about 20 minutes to get our luggage.

I can't wait until the long time Southwest side carousels are finished next year. Should fix all this waiting with 4 of them.
