Same for us at OLCI on Wednesday, IAD-UK-JER. I've learned to ignore it [having kept a close eye on when my ESTA expires - 22 Dec 16, since you ask!]. It may be related to the US authorities needed to ensure you've left the Country, instead of handing in the counterfoil of the old Immigration form.

How that relates to the OP's case is a different matter, of course.
