I have a Hyatt Status Match story I would like to share. Some people at Hyatt really know how to convince people (like me) to stay at Hyatt!

During the great Hyatt twitter match, I contacted Hyatt asking for a status match as I am a lifetime Diamond at Hilton. They only offered me to platinum so I wasn't too pleased. However, I took it and started spending a few nights here and there at Hyatt to check out what the competition had to offer.

One stay, I found this letter next to my bed. I thought it was one of those generic welcome letters and threw it into my bag. When I got home, the wife opened it up and asked me "Whats this!?" Upon closer inspection, I decided to email the Sales Director with my information and a couple days later, I got status matched to Diamond! I was still a couple nights/stays from Diamond so it was a nice gesture.

Needless to say, I started taking advantage of my Diamond Benefits immediately and have shifted a good portion of my stays now at Hyatt.

TL;DR: Good Job Hyatt. You have my business going forward.
