A couple....

Flying to our European office just after returning from a holiday I packed quickly the night before, including my passport which was the one not in the flowery holder owned by Mrs B.

Living only 15min from t5 I casually turned up, went through security and the simple boarding pass check, and caught up on some work for a few minutes.

Strolled to the gate. Got my passport out my pocket. Handed it to the gate agent as I noticed the issue and said "well, I don't think that's me" and the kind lady agreed I didn't look quite the same as Mrs B, whose passport had ended up outside her holder.

Fortunately BA gave me a boarding pass for the next day's flight....

If I'd bothered to look at 'my' passport even 15 minutes earlier I could've had it there via Mrs B but alas.... I still don't live this down.

Next, another post-holiday story come to think of it. At a time before we operated a shared calendar. Went on holiday with Mrs B (then girlfriend), with the dates specifically booked so we got back on a Wednesday, allowing plenty of time before her friend's wedding on the Saturday.

We somehow totally forgot and had it down as the next Saturday.

I was at work and saw pictures of her friend in a white dress. The wedding was 6 hours drive away so no chance we could make it. Oops. We do still remain friends....

These days the moment something is thought of it goes into the shared calendar with every detail I can imagine!
