Exactly. Hard to believe they haven't forged an agreement with the banks. The silence is telling. I'm doing my bit - spend now completely off their platinum card. About $35k/yr will get me more value elsewhere. If anything, their delay has worked in my favor and got me off the blocks early. As I've started shopping my flights I couldn't help notice how expensive my loyalty to AA has been.
