I can at last report exactly how to get from the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge to C gates or from anywhere in non-Schengen B departures to the rest of the airport including the exit!

If starting in the MLL (pale green area on the right on the map) turn left after leaving the lounge and walk towards transfer security. Passed McCafé and opposite the Hub Convenience store there is an area cordoned off with red tapes (marked with the Lufthansa logo on the map) with a guard. According to an informant this is where you used to go through from B departures to the rest of the airport. A few years ago I saw the area used as an additional security check point for passengers travelling with children.

On the map below the grey line in the middle separates the secure area from non-secure arrival area. The grey line is actually a glass partition that you see in post #3702.

To the right of the cordoned off area there is an automatic one-way door (marked with a green arrow) for passengers leaving the non-Schengen B departure area. The sign above the door points to "A,C,D,E,Z,B1-19, Exit and Train Stations". It appears this door is relatively new. This takes you into the area where all arrivals in B non-Schengen end up as well as those coming from C gates or Z gates (and possibly D & E) via the Skyline shuttle. Transfer security on your left (but why return to where you came from?), passport control in front of you and the start of the long corridor to C gates and the Skyline platform on the right.

At least one mission accomplished. My other mission a few days earlier was to check exactly where AEUW was located. I flew on the early morning flight which was showing AEUW as the arrival gate until it left MAN but unfortunately we ended up at B23A.
