Does the lack of direct flights impact you guys? I think that will be the hardest thing to give up as I generally try to reduce the points of failure when travelling
I am on DL every week. I have not had a mechanical issue in a very long time...weather is another story. But with that said I almost always have option to fly around the weather and still get home. With the hubs, CVG, LGA, JFK, DTW, MSP, etc. there has never been an option that did not work unless the issue was in CLT. Doesn't matter who you are on at the point.

Worst case was a couple of weeks ago in DFW. Bad storms and our outbound DFW - ATL incoming plane diverted to SAT. Everything was full and a gate agent saved me and got me on a delayed flight from earlier in the day that was actually oversold. Touchdown in CLT aftermidnight via Atlanta, but I got home. AA cancelled every remaining flight that night to CLT.... Had I been on a direct AA flight I might have gotten home the next afternoon.

BTW I have not missed an upgrade all year on any segment and maybe one or two last year. Keep in mind though that is with DM status.
