Thanks for the comments everyone. Unfortunately she needs to reserve seats as she is a very nervous flyer so must be next to her husban, and she has a medical condition which means she feels more comfortable being close to the WC's.

I've just met up with her and she accessed her booking to show me the seat costs as I couldn't believe that it would be nearly GBP100 per person to reserve seats (it's a while since I've had to pay), and yes it's now GBP93 for lower deck and GBP98 for upper, an outrageous amount IMHO.

It's an A380 not that that makes a difference.
