Beg to differ...

Telstra only provide the service from my house to the exchange. Once it gets to the exchange, it is the ISP that goes from there.

My next door neighbour to the left is with Telstra ADSL, the next door neighbour to the right is with Netspace DSL. We have all had the occasional outage at the same time, we have deduced that it is due to Telsra (Regentville exchange having an outage).

All of us have also experienced outages where none of the others have experienced problems. Netspace might work, Westnet might work, Telstra doesn't. And so on.

My techie friends tell me that once it reaches Kent St. (in the Sydney CBD) it is no longer Telstra's problem.

The question is, where does Optus switch over from the Smelstra network to the Sloptus network?

In short, is Sloptus better than Westnet?
