To update, one will need to call the originating city office (Toronto in my case) to cancel the ticket and pay a US$50 to re-deposit the miles. The miles are back in my account within 24 hours. Online availability holds true and I'm able to confirm my flight (1 out of 2 legs). Call centers are all unable to see the availability (SIN, US, CA centers).
I'm more than happy to transfer in another 25k miles to confirm the all my flights as this is the last of my flights to get confirmed (travel dates in June 2017 though), just don't like the idea of the flight hanging there, with 3 other tickets already confirmed.
On a side note, for tickets booked using BR miles, can I put my A3 *G number inside for additional baggage allowance? From the other thread, it was stated that one is unable to upgrade using BR miles and credit to another FFP.
