They use the weasel phrase, "We're sorry to hear that." To me, all that means is that they're sorry they bothered to log into Twitter and they're sorry they had to read your pathetic, miserable complaint, and they're sorry that they are stuck at work.
Hey, it probably took a whole team of lawyers and PR people to come up with that perfect phrase which admits no liability but may be interpreted by the masses as an apology or at least sympathy. Give the weasels some respect
