The 777 is used to akl and Europe with angled lie flats, they are way way behind most carriers now with that old product. Potentially a passenger flying akl-bkk-fco or similar would be faced with some of the worst j seats around for a 24 hour journey...

to where in Europe do they use the 777 with angled seats?
to most European destinations they use A380 or 773 with full flat seats. With the A350 they will be able to serve the rest as well as AKL and MEL with lie flat seats
agree that long haul is nowadays a no go with angle flat seats in J!
