Fragrances

I spent last night at the Embassy Suites in Bellevue, WA and while the overall experience was good to great there was one aspect that bugged me - the bedding and bath towels, as well as the bathroom countertop all had a heavy perfume-like scent. I found it difficult to fall asleep with scented sheets and really noticed it again while toweling off after bathing in the morning. I did not call down about the sheets that evening because I was tired and had just crawled into bed when I noticed the scent. I had an early morning appointment and didn't want to waste an hour or more calling down and having someone change the sheets.

I worked in healthcare for most of my adult life and would never dream of wearing perfume or cologne that could be picked by others. It is bad enough that you have to share an elevator with someone that douses themselves with a lot of perfume but I found having scented sheets and towels to be very off-putting. I did contact the hotel via their contact us web page but have not heard back as of yet.

Anyone else have experience with properties that are fond of scents?
