I and my then wife arrived at LGW an entire day early for a DL flight to CVG back in 1995. (DL were excellent and moved us without charge to a VS flight with a DL connection.)

Way back at the start of the Millennium I had a DYKWIA moment at the sadly demolished Crowne Plaza in Auckland as I remonstrated with check in staff about my booking which they did not have on file. How my boss and I chortled when we discovered I had actually booked the Holiday Inn down the road.

Earlier this year I was at my insistent best to have the non Schengen immigration and security sections opened up at OSL. It all worked perfectly and I found myself in the Non Schengen departure area four hours before departure. (I was testing the B2B process) Fortunately the same chap I had been insistent with was on hand to escort me back through immigration so I could access the lounge - in The Schengen area. He only rolled his eyes a couple of times.
