Everything I read says "Don't do it", but I'm going to do it! We're renting from Avis (thru AutoEurope) at 128R Ognissante. I know where it is....I just want to get out of there and back. If anybody is familiar with the exact routes out of there (west) and back in for the drop off, please tell me. So far the on-line Florence street map has street direction arrows opposite of those in the Michelin map. (Nice start huh?)

We have also decided to park nightly at the Porta Romana lots and bus in. I have read about some free lots out by Galluzzo and Bottai whch can be reached by bus. I would appreciate any experience with these.
