Tied to the AAdvantage changes?
I really doubt the AAdvantage changes were the driving forces in the lower YOY numbers.
More LCC competition, bad on-time performance (esp. in particular hubs), changes in the FFP, out-dated PMUS planes... all these things would lead me away from AA if I was the "average consumer".
