I think that's what I'll do. We'll be staying on a Monday night on the lower east side so hopefully that might up our chances. It's also a brand new hotel, I wonder if that might affect our chances in any way? (do they want to create a good impression right off the bat and ensure the hotel appears as a desirable destination? Would a new hotel have a less experienced manager and might that affect his likelihood to give an upgrade?)
