I've been thinking about for a while about my case and there's one more thing that came to my mind. I don't need lounge access in MEL desperately, but if there's something not involving extra costs, I could try ;-)

Considering my Silver status in BAEC, where would you recommend to try to match status in order to get status allowing me enter MEL lounge before FJ flight? Could it be solution?
The most obvious airline seems to be FJ but to be honest I don't think I'll be flying with them again in the nearest future, so it might be pointless for me.
What about AA? They're both OW airline and FJ's partner airline. Does it change anything? The same question regards QF.

EDIT: I've just realized that FJ's program is not free of charge, so it's excluded...
