First time that I had fever and food poisoning after the morning flight LAX-IAH two weekends ago. Customer Care put me to the United Airlines Corporate Insurance Department, mentioning there will be a claim reviewed by the department. What exactly is the department doing? This is the first time that I had food poisoning and fever in the flight, and it's also the first time I heard about this department. Tried to search FT but didn't see anything.
Any insights will be appreciated.

A colleague of mine was forwarded to United Airlines Corporate Insurance Department as well for similar reasons.
