Btw, in case you're wondering, NEXUS renewal does not even code as travel transaction, but as a government service of some type. So it doesn't even earn any extra points for any card that has a travel category. (I used my City TYP Premier to pay for it a few months ago, and didn't earn the extra 100 points on it, no surprise, but again, also no big loss.)
But then, it's only $50 once every 5 years, after all. That works out to less than $1 a month.
Global entry works in Nexus lanes into the US. Of course there are fewer places to interview for GE which may have been the bigger concern for the earlier poster.
