A few weeks back I was on a paid ticket connecting from J to F (enroute to AUH too) & the QR transfer ticket desk wouldn’t even consider moving me to an earlier flight without me paying many $$$ . Fair enough.

Frankly, I doubt you stand a cat in hell’s chance.
