Here's the scenario:

I have an award ticket issued by BAEC.

My flight arrives on DOH this Sunday (the 11th) at 11PM.

I have a flight leaving AUH on Monday (the 12th) at 10PM.

The earliest award availability on QR (BAEC avios) for the DOH - AUH sector is on Tuesday (the 13th).

I ticketed it anyway. So now my connecting flight for my AUH flight (which is on Monday - the 12th - will leave DOH on Tuesday - the 13th).

Here's the million dollar question:

Has anyone her ever been able to switch award flights (not ticketed by QR) at the airport? More specifically at the DOH transit desks without any costs?

I don't wanna have to buy a ticket at the counter once I'm at DOH.
